Job Summary

  • Responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and delivery of high quality food while maintaining food safety, hygiene, and cost control standards. This role leads and supervises kitchen staff, develops menus, manages inventory and purchasing, and ensures a consistent d

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and update menus based on customer preferences, seasonal ingredients, and business goals.
  • Order supplies and report to the head of the establishment
  • Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate kitchen staff. Maximize productivity of the kitchen staff. Assess kitchen staff work performance.
  • Ensure food is prepared and presented according to quality and presentation standards and on schedule.
  • Ensure that no problem arises during serving; if any, it should be rectified quickly.
  • Approve all foods before they leave the kitchen.
  • Develop menu offerings. Create recipes and prepare advanced items.
  • Forecast supply needs and estimate cost.
  • Monitor food cost and kitchen budgets.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and supplier relationships.
  • Enforce that food serving facility/area are in strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations standards.
  • Ensure proper equipment maintenance and operations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Sous Chef.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent culinary skills and creativity in menu development.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices.
  • Effective budgeting, inventory control, and cost management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of various computer software programs (MS office, restaurant management software, POS)
