Responsibilities

- Oversee kitchen staff scheduling and performance
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness
- Control inventory and food costs
- Coordinate with suppliers and ensure efficient use of ingredients
- Train and mentor the kitchen team
- Collaborate with management on seasonal offerings and special events
- Respond to guest feedback to improve the culinary experience
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in high end cafes, lounges, or restaurants, ideally within a premium or lifestyle concept
- Strong skills in menu development, food presentation, and recipe standardization
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety, hygiene standards, stock control, and cost management
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team supervision, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Ability to work collaboratively with front of house and management teams
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
- Culinary degree or formal culinary training preferred; equivalent professional experience considered
- Experience in the Doha or GCC hospitality market and familiarity with international and regional cuisines are advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus

Role Description
- The Head Chef is a full time, on site role based in Doha, Qatar, responsible for leading all kitchen operations at Movement Cafe.

- Manage food preparation and cooking, oversee kitchen staff scheduling and performance, and maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness.
