About the Role
Lead kitchen operations at a growing, premium Camden venue across dining, private functions, weddings, and corporate events.
Work alongside the Executive Chef in a hands-on leadership role with ownership of daily service, food cost control, and team leadership.
Weekend work is central because the busiest trade occurs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support kitchen staff across daily service, private functions, and events.
- Manage food costs, portion control, stock levels, and supplier relationships.
- Plan and contribute to function set menus and the à la carte offering.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene compliance as the venue’s Food Safety Supervisor.
- Roster, train, and mentor kitchen staff during weekends and peak trading periods.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen in line with WHS requirements.
About You
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent trade qualification.
- Several years of experience in a senior kitchen role, ideally as a Head Chef or Sous Chef.
