Role Overview
Set and execute the multi-year technical roadmap for Battery Management Systems with emphasis on software architecture, state estimation algorithms, and digital intelligence.
Own the complete BMS stack from embedded firmware through cloud analytics, ensuring safety-certified and production-proven systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Define BMS software architecture across real-time embedded layers, application software, CAN, Modbus, Ethernet, and cloud telemetry interfaces.
- Lead SOC, SOH, SOP, and RUL estimation algorithm development using Kalman filters, physics-based models, and data-driven ML models.
- Oversee firmware, high-level application software, and system integration across pack, PCS, and EMS.
- Drive cloud and IoT architecture, including data ingestion, data lakes, fleet analytics dashboards, and predictive maintenance.
- Approve HIL and SIL validation strategies and establish code quality, CI/CD, and testing standards.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and ISO 21434 functional-safety and cybersecurity standards.
- Manage and mentor engineering teams across embedded software, algorithms, and cloud architecture.
Skills and Competencies
- Deep expertise in embedded systems, RTOS such as FreeRTOS or QNX, C/C++ firmware, and hardware bring-up.
