Responsibilities
- Operate HDD drilling rigs and associated equipment
- Interpret construction plans, DBYD plans, and utility service maps
- Monitor drilling operations including pressures, fluid returns, and bore alignment
- Perform pilot bores, reaming operations, and product pullbacks
- Set up drilling sites, drilling fluid systems, and support equipment
- Ensure underground installations are completed accurately and safely
- Work with vacuum excavation crews and service locating teams
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Horizontal Directional Driller / HDD Operator
- Proven ability to operate HDD drilling rigs and associated machinery safely and efficiently
- Experience operating HDD rigs such as Vermeer, Ditch Witch, or similar equipment
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, DBYD plans, and utility service maps
- Experience setting up drilling sites, drilling fluid systems, and support equipment
- Knowledge of monitoring drilling pressures, fluid returns, and bore alignment
- Experience performing pilot bores, reaming operations, and product pullbacks
- Ability to work effectively with vacuum excavation crews and service locating teams
- Proficient in reading plans and using electronic locating equipment for underground utility installations
- Valid passport
- Must either be exempt from English language test or have passed IELTS or PTE Academic
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, DBYD plans, and utility service maps.
- Experience setting up drilling sites, drilling fluid systems, and support equipment.
- Knowledge of monitoring drilling pressures, fluid returns, and bore alignment throughout drilling operations.
- Experience performing pilot bores, reaming operations, and product pullbacks.

Must Have Requirements
- Valid passport.
