The role
Lead end-to-end hardware testing and validation for innovative products and sensors.
Build physical prototypes, run experiments, generate test data, and convert results into actionable information.
This is hardware systems and manufacturing test engineering rather than software quality assurance.
Location and travel
- The role is based in the San Francisco office five days per week, with an alternative location in the Boulder or Denver area.
- Travel of up to 20% is expected, including travel to China as needed.
Testing and prototyping
- Design experiments, analyze results, and develop automated test applications and interfaces.
- Prototype electromechanical systems using sensors, pumps, mechanisms, electronics, 3D printing, machining, and quick-turn tooling.
- Build test fixtures and jigs for R&D and manufacturing environments.
Software and data
- Develop embedded test systems using Arduino and Python and integrate software with instrumentation and custom hardware or firmware.
