Role Overview
We’re hiring for a Sourcing and Procurement Enginner (Hardware focused with 6+ years of experience) focused on supplier management, strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and ensuring uninterrupted material supply.
The role will work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers on forecasting, capacity planning, quality, timely delivery, COGS, audits, and supply-chain risk management.
Experience with hardware/medical-device manufacturing, ISO 13485, ERP systems, and end-to-end procurement/supply chain processes would be highly preferred.
Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to meet the requirement and secure long term supply continuity.
Assess and mitigate risks to the business. Manage global supply chain disruptions and ensure continuous supply of material.
Develop an in-depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs.
Develop a capacity plan that meets Sales forecast.
Work with the Contract manufacturers, provide forecast to them and ensure quality and timely delivery of the product.
Conduct onsite audit of Suppliers/Contract manufacturers as per Standard.
Maintain COGS for all products and track them against each production order.
Investigate and take appropriate action in case of any process deviation, non-compliance, market complaints, Product failures, product recalls.
Take ownerships of implementation of the SOPs as per ISO 13485, drive changes to the SOPs to meet the current processes.
Ensure all procurement records are maintained as per the compliance.
ERP adoption.
6+ years in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management, preferably in manufacturing or medical devices.
Graduation in any discipline; MBA or relevant degree preferred.
Strong supplier negotiation, contract management, and sourcing strategy skills.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics) and COGS tracking.
Proficient in Excel, reporting tools, and data analysis. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
