Job Overview

  • The HACCP Auditor is responsible for evaluation, verification, and enforcement of food safety programs.
  • Ensures total compliance with HACCP principles, regulatory mandates, and global food safety standards.
  • Identifies operational risks and drives continuous improvement in food safety across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and unannounced physical audits of manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and processes.
  • Monitor, verify, and validate Critical Control Points (CCPs) and operational prerequisite programs.
  • Analyze biological, chemical, and physical hazards within processing environments to prevent contamination.
  • Issue corrective action requests (CAR) and verify the implementation of effective preventive actions.
  • Maintain meticulous records of audit findings, corrective actions, and food safety logs for regulatory review.
  • Align company practices with FDA, USDA, or local municipality codes and global food safety initiatives.
  • Evaluate vendor facilities periodically to ensure raw materials meet rigorous corporate safety specifications.
  • Facilitate ongoing training sessions for plant personnel regarding GMPs and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands on food safety auditing experience within a manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Certified HACCP Auditor (CHA) or formal Lead Auditor training (e.g., ISO 22000, BRCGS, SQF).
  • Proficient in root cause analysis, statistical process control, and quality management software.
  • Objective mindset, clear communication style, and ability to handle high stress regulatory inspections.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in production environments.
  • Tolerance for varying temperatures within food processing plant environments (e.g., chillers, freezers).

Pay

  • AED300.00 AED400.00 per day
