Role Purpose

  • The GTM Portfolio Lead is responsible for the commercialization, positioning, portfolio strategy, and market adoption of Rakuten Symphony's telecom software and platform portfolio.
  • Operating at the intersection of Product Management, Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Pre Sales, and Regional Sales, this role ensures that product investments translate into scalable revenue growth, differentiated market positioning, and repeatable customer success.
  • The role combines technology expertise, commercial acumen, solution strategy, and field engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define portfolio priorities aligned to market demand and company growth objectives.
  • Develop commercialization plans for Open RAN, OSS, AI Operations, Cloud, and Automation solutions.
  • Identify growth opportunities, portfolio gaps, and emerging market trends.
  • Support pricing, packaging, and solution bundling strategies.
  • Own solution narratives, value propositions, and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with Marketing to develop customer facing messaging, sales content, and executive presentations.
  • Ensure consistent positioning across regions and customer segments.
  • Support major customer opportunities as the portfolio and solution strategist.
  • Work alongside Strategic Pursuit leaders to define transformation roadmaps, business outcomes, and differentiated value propositions.
  • Contribute to executive workshops and customer solution discussions.
  • Act as the voice of customers and field organizations into Product Management.
  • Consolidate market requirements and strategic customer feedback.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience spanning Product Management, Solution Consulting, Pre Sales, GTM Strategy, Telecom Technology, or Business Development.
  • Strong understanding of telecom networks, OSS/BSS, cloud native architectures, and automation platforms.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into business value and market differentiation.
  • Experience working across product, engineering, sales, and customer facing teams.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in one or more of: Open RAN, Service Management & Orchestration (SMO), RIC / rApp Ecosystems, OSS Transformation, Telecom Cloud Platforms, AI Driven Operations, Network Automation.
  • Candidates may come from Product Strategy, CTO Office, Solution Consulting, Pre Sales Leadership, Telecom Consulting, or Portfolio Management backgrounds.

  • Pipeline and revenue influenced by portfolio initiatives.
  • Portfolio adoption and attach rates.
  • Win rate improvement in strategic pursuits.
  • Product launch effectiveness.
  • Roadmap alignment with customer and market requirements.
