About the Department
Assists in the managing of the maintenance and upkeep of campus grounds.
Mows, edges, and trims turf areas.
Plants, trims, and maintains all shrubs.
Plants and maintains color beds.
Maintains campus water features.
Applies horticultural chemicals where directed.
Cleans hard-surface areas.
Maintains irrigation systems.
Properly services, operates, and cleans equipment after use.
Reports equipment problems and maintenance needs promptly to supervisor.
Demonstrates commitment to personal and professional growth in leadership and ministry effectiveness.
Performs other related duties as assigned and specific to area of responsibility.
While no experience is required, preference is given to candidates with experience.
Familiarity with common tools and equipment used in ground maintenance is required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Strong work ethic and initiative; ability to operate with minimal supervision.
Exemplary social skills with an ability to be a part of and contribute to a collaborative team, manage conflicts, and demonstrate love and appreciation for cross-cultural interaction.
Willingness to get dirty and work in any weather condition is important is required.
Ability to provide proof of Work Authorization in the U.S. and proof of identity.
Successful completion of background check, Motor Vehicle Report (Driving Record), and credit check may be required.
Requires seminary driving of golf carts or licensed vehicles which require a valid driver’s license and successful clearance of MVR.

Outdoor Environment - May be required to perform occasional overhead reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
