About the Role
La Rose Specialty Foods Inc. in Milton, ON is hiring a full-time Grocery Assistant Manager. You will assist in managing inventory, ordering, stocking, and merchandising in a busy specialty food store.

Responsibilities
- Work directly with Grocery Manager to maintain the department in its best form
- Maintain inventory levels, place orders with vendors
- Work with Grocery Manager on features and promotions
- Stock, merchandise and organize shelves with products from suppliers
- Rotate stock and check expiry dates
- Check stock status by performing physical counts on shelves and back stock
- Organize back stock as support for grocery, dairy, and deli departments
- Clean, dust, fill/face shelves with product
- Receive deliveries from suppliers and check correct quantities
- Assist with tagging prices and promotions approved by Store Manager
Requirements
- High energy, friendly, respectful, team player with customer service skills
- Experience in grocery/retail customer service industry is greatly beneficial
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and may enter cold room several times per shift
- Must be available 5 days a week for full time and at least one day on the weekend every weekend
- Must be available for flexible shifts starting as early as 7 am and ending as late as 7 pm on weekdays, 5 pm on weekends
- Available to work on weekends and around holidays
- Must be willing to learn how to use a forklift and pumpjack
- Takes interest in learning about domestic and imported specialty products
- Completion of on line Health and Safety course before start date

- We have been servicing Milton and surrounding areas for over 44 years with freshly baked breads, buns, pastries and cakes made from scratch every day.
- We offer store made traditional Italian food, full service deli and cheese counter, unique specialty foods, espresso bar and more.
Position
- We are currently hiring for a long term, full time Grocery Assistant Manager position with option for future growth.
- Rate of pay is CAD 24.00 to CAD 29.00/hour (dependent on experience).
Responsibilities
- Working directly with Grocery Manager to maintain the department in its best form.
- Maintaining inventory levels, placing orders with vendors.
- Working with Grocery Manager on features and promotions.
- Stocking, merchandising and organizing shelves with products being delivered from suppliers.

- Checking stock status by performing physical counts on shelves and back stock.
