Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET)

Role Summary

Experience and Schedule

• Experience level is 0 to 1 year.
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekends off.
• Office location is Godrej IT Park, Vikhroli.

Engineering and Technical Support

• Assist senior engineers with fabrication drawings, structural and mechanical specifications, and technical documentation.
• Support engineering calculations, material take-offs, and technical queries under supervision.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/HAZID studies, and constructability assessments.

Site and Fabrication Yard Exposure

• Rotate through fabrication yards, offshore installation sites, and marine spreads.
• Gain exposure to construction sequencing, welding and fabrication processes, and heavy lift operations.
• Support QA/QC inspections, NDT witnessing, and material verification.
• Assist with project progress monitoring and reporting of schedule deviations.

HSE Integration

• Learn and adhere to offshore HSE standards, Permit to Work systems, and Job Safety Analysis processes.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety inductions, and emergency response drills.
• Support incident and near-miss reporting and root-cause learning under guidance.

Project Coordination

• Assist with progress tracking, documentation control, and coordination among fabrication, marine, and installation teams.
• Support technical reports, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
• Liaise with QA/QC, HSE, procurement, and project controls teams to understand offshore project execution.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of relevant experience.
• Strong fundamentals in structural analysis, mechanical systems, or marine/offshore engineering principles.

Skills and Competencies

• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro/SACS, or relevant mechanical design software; Primavera or MS Project exposure is a plus.
• Willingness to work offshore, including rotational shifts once operationally deployed.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in physically demanding, high-risk environments.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to relocate or travel to yards, ports, and offshore installation sites.
