Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring production of solid carbide, indexable, and special-purpose cutting tools.
- Support shop floor operations to achieve production, quality, and delivery targets.
- Assist with CNC tool grinding, CNC machining, edge preparation, inspection, and packaging.
- Monitor machine performance, production output, and downtime, and report deviations.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, Maintenance, and Planning departments.
- Monitor quality parameters and support corrective actions for process issues.
- Support new product trials, process validation, and product development projects.
- Ensure proper handling of materials, tools, and finished goods during production.
Profile and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fresher status or up to 1 year of experience in production, manufacturing, CNC machining, or engineering.
- Understanding of CNC machines, cutting tools, and precision manufacturing is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of solid carbide tools, end mills, drills, reamers, and other cutting tools is desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Basic knowledge of production planning, quality control, and shop floor practices.
