GMTI Maintenance Associate Mechanical

The General Maintenance position is responsible to Plant Management for the day-to-day safe operation of the Maintenance Department and the equipment in the plant.

The Maintenance technician is able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the mechanical and electrical functions of all equipment, and displays a working knowledge of trouble-shooting.

Understands basic principles of corrugated, printing, litho applications, and gluing.

Technician is capable of determining the need for contract Maintenance and coordinating through others.

Able to assist in machine PM responsibilities, to insure the most efficient PM operation possible.

Assures that downtime due to maintenance issues is minimized at all machine centers.

Responsible for assisting in run rate improvements, quality improvements and downtime elimination at all machine centers.

Responsible for learning all associated SAP paperwork, reports, feedback, work order manipulation, and parts issuance and ordering.

Outstanding ability to listen to and accomplish a task

Able to learn all aspects of SAP functionality

Order parts, supplies, etc. as directed by Maintenance Lead personnel through SAP

Participate in training sessions to insure the Maintenance Department is current on new technologies

Should have an outstanding working knowledge for trouble-shooting mechanical problems

Strong ability to weld and fabricate parts

Demonstrates proper LOTT, MSK, anilox LOTT, PPE and all safety policies and has the willingness and knowledge to intervene when a co-worker does not use safety policies correctly.

Must have completed all required safety and maintenance training and shows a willingness to acquire training on his/her time.

Must have excellent housekeeping, people, and team skills.

Must be willing to better organize the maintenance department tools, cabinets, miscellaneous fasteners and tooling as needed with the help of his fellow employees.

Demonstrates enthusiasm for all work orders/jobs.

Always eager to get the machines up and running.

Employee will need computer skills to work in SAP to acquire notifications, work orders, requisition parts for work orders, and enter their time against these work orders.

All other duties as assigned

• Outstanding ability to listen to other teams to gather ideas about the best way to accomplish a task
• Strong ability to create a team environment, by involving team members in the decision process
• Able to learn all aspects of SAP functionality
• Ability to find the “best” solution to any problem, and not always the “least cost” solution.

Ability to Lead maintenance team in various projects
