Global Welding Software Sales Manager

You r responsibilities

• Drive software business development by identifying , qualifying, and progressing new opportunities within the welding market.
• Own and grow a healthy sales pipeline together with local sales teams and channel partners.
• Develop commercial account plans for strategic customers and support negotiations to successfully close software opportunities.
• Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing customer accounts to maximize software adoption and recurring revenue.
• Represent ABB Robotics at industry events, customer workshops, and trade shows to increase market awareness and generate leads.
• Support go-to-market activities , including product launches, value proposition development, and sales enablement.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , or a related fie ld
• 5+ years of experience in software sales, technical sales, business development, sales engineering, or customer success within industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing software
• Proven track record of influencing or closing complex B2B software sales
• Experience managing customer relationships throughout the entire sales cycle, from opportunity identification to post-sales expansion
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify business opportunities and drive revenue growth
• Proven experience working in or supporting the welding, manufacturing, or industrial automation sectors
