Global Principal Electrical Design Engineer

Role Overview

Global Electrical Design Authority

• Act as the global subject matter expert and technical authority for electrical systems within Eaton's data center portfolio.
• Lead and support complex electrical infrastructure design for hyperscale and enterprise data centers from concept through execution.
• Provide guidance on medium- and low-voltage distribution, transformers, UPS architecture, protection and coordination, grounding, and resilience strategies.

Standards and Design Quality

• Develop, implement, and govern global electrical design standards, reference architectures, and quality frameworks.
• Ensure designs align with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL, IEC, and applicable international standards.
• Perform peer reviews and validate electrical engineering deliverables across regions for consistency, compliance, and technical rigor.
• Serve as the final escalation point for complex or high-risk electrical design challenges.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regional engineering organisations on global data center programmes.
