RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build and maintain high-performance, high-availability, high-capacity, yet nimble and adaptive platforms satisfying a range of business needs.
• Work in partnership with the wider engineering & product teams to design and implement best-in-class solutions.
• Work closely with our counterpart teams globally to ensure we’re building features and systems that can be reused and leveraging work and experience from the other regions.
• SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR
• BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong Java programming skills, ideally in a real-time low latency / zero GC environment.
• High desire to produce organised, readable, and maintainable software.
• Proven problem-solving ability with critical and creative thinking.
• Effective communicator in both written and verbal mediums.
• Hands-on experience writing robust, automated unit and integration test suites to ensure code reliability.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience working on an electronic trading platform, including reference data, market data & FIX.
• Ability to balance multiple, time-sensitive projects while maintaining a longer term, strategic focus.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Python, SQL and/or Linux would be beneficial.
• Prior experience of a sequencer/event-based architecture, and/or Zero-GC Java.
