Role Overview
The GIS Specialist / Developer owns end-to-end GIS delivery, automation, development, and day-to-day administration of the GIS enterprise environment.
The role supports infrastructure, transportation, utilities, and urban development projects through spatial data production, application development, and platform administration.
GIS Delivery and Spatial Analysis
- Produce and maintain spatial datasets, geodatabases, and cartographic outputs for multidisciplinary design teams.
- Perform spatial analysis and integrate survey, design, and asset data into GIS.
- Apply data standards, topology rules, QA/QC, metadata, coordinate systems, and transformations.
- Support design coordination, constraints mapping, options analysis, and authority or client submissions.
Automation and GIS Development
- Build and maintain Python/ArcPy automation, geoprocessing tools, web GIS applications, and dashboards.
