About the role, Your Impact
Baxter & Woodmans Spatial Technology Group has a rewarding opportunity for a GIS Technician I in our Bannockburn, Chicago, Crystal Lake, or Naperville, IL office.
Successful candidates will possess strong work ethic, technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work within a wide variety of project types and environmental conditions.

What your day-to-day will look like
- Report to the GIS Department Manager for work responsibilities, scheduling, and tasks.
- Perform office-based mapping tasks, map creation, data manipulation, analysis and technical problem solving in Esris ArcGIS Pro environment.
- Manage ArcGIS Online Organization accounts and related data layers and mapping content for municipal clients.
- Develop and maintain ArcGIS Online applications such as Experience Builder, Survey123, Dashboards, and Field Maps.
- Perform troubleshooting tasks.
- Manage geodata standards, clean up, and maintenance.
- Provide onsite work for municipal clients and field-based projects as needed.
- Provide field-based services including but not limited to GPS data collection of new assets / construction as-builts, condition assessments of utilities, pavement, signage, ADA, etc.
