Job Description
• Develop and manage GIS databases. • Perform spatial analysis and mapping. • Prepare climate risk, vulnerability and land-use maps. • Integrate remote sensing and geospatial datasets. • Develop web-GIS dashboards and decision-support tools. • Analyse demographic, infrastructure and environmental datasets. • Support emissions and climate analytics. • Establish data quality standards. • Develop metadata and data governance protocols. • Produce thematic maps and visualisations. • Support scenario modelling and forecasting. • Train government officials on GIS applications. • Coordinate with sector specialists. • Prepare technical reports and spatial outputs. • Support monitoring dashboards.
Skills and Abilities
- Master's in GIS, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Data Science or related. Preferred: GIS certification.
- 5–10 years in GIS, remote sensing, spatial analytics and urban/climate data systems.
