Stantec has an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our growing energy & resources business line based in our Vancouver, BC or Calgary, AB office.
This position will work collaboratively with other Stantec offices across Canada, the United States, South America and Australia, to support the service needs of our clients on local and international projects.
As a Geotechnical EIT, you will be a member of a multidisciplinary team working in energy and resources, primarily on metal, coal and large oil sands mining projects.
Work will include various stages in the project life cycle, from exploration and site investigations, through conceptual design, construction, closure and reclamation.
Our geotechnical project work typically involves design and evaluation of pit walls, mine rock and tailings storage facilities, surface water impoundments, and general mine infrastructure.
