This role will initially be located at our west Columbus office (Fisher Road) but the Geotech Team be moving to our new Corporate headquarters in New Albany @ late 2026.
Responsibilities :
Performing geotechnical explorations, site characterizations, and risk evaluation on developments.
Assist with the training of lab technicians and reviewing lab report, management of equipment inventory and calibration, client marketing and proposal preparation.
Ability to work independently on broad projects with oversight/supervision by the Service Line Manager.
Providing direction on a project-to-project basis – i.e. preparing lab testing assignments, reviewing documents, and testing results for content and accuracy.
Preparing geotechnical engineering reports.
Interacting with clients on technical aspects of the projects.
Reviewing soils laboratory test results.
Assisting in planning and the execution of subsurface investigation programs - including the understanding of project design plans, locating test borings at project sites, coordinating underground utility clearance.
Design development and analysis of earth embankments, earth retaining structures and anchoring systems.
Performing analysis and design of shallow and deep foundations and slope stability evaluations.
Monitoring and enforcing quality control standards and specifications.
