The Generative AI Forward Deployed Engineer is an embedded builder who connects frontier AI products with production-grade customer environments.
The role codes, debugs, and jointly ships bespoke agentic solutions rather than providing only high-level architecture advice.
The engineer addresses integration complexity, data readiness, and state-management challenges that prevent enterprise AI adoption.
The role combines customer deployment with field feedback that informs Google's future AI product roadmap.

Interview and Location Information
- The hiring process usually requires in-person interviews.
- Applicants may share a preferred working location among Mumbai, Pune, or Bengaluru, Maharashtra or Karnataka, India.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eight years of experience in cloud computing or a technical customer-facing role.
- Experience building structured and unstructured data pipelines using vector databases and RAG-like architectures for enterprise AI solutions.
- Experience taking production-grade AI-driven solutions from conception to launch and architecting AI systems on cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience leading technical discovery sessions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in AI, computer science, or a related technical field.
- Experience implementing multi-agent systems with frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or ADK and patterns such as ReAct, self-reflection, or hierarchical delegation.
