General Technician - Maintenance

Position Summary

Maintenance Duties

• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines and operate equipment and building shut-off valves.
• Maintain inventory and requisition maintenance parts and supplies.
• Perform painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and air-conditioning filter replacement, and cleanup.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, electrical components, guestroom items, and internet devices.
• Program televisions and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers.
• Use Lockout/Tagout before performing maintenance work.

Safety and Guest Service

• Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance problems, hazards, accidents, and injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications and properly store flammable materials.
• Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests according to company standards.
• Maintain professional communication, positive working relationships, confidentiality, and protection of company assets.

Preferred Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting is preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• A driver's license is required.

Physical and Technical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to move on stairs, ramps, and ladders and perform bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and overhead work.
• Basic computer skills are needed to enter information and adjust air handler schedules and temperatures.

• The position is full time at Dubai Marina, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
