Role Overview
The General Manager Operations will plan, develop, and implement strategies for organizational growth and structure, including budgets and performance quality metrics.
The GMO is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with end user customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and trade partners.
Travel is required with this position.
Job Responsibilities (List is not inclusive)
· Responsible for the performance of overall Service business in assigned territory or markets.
· Ensure preparation of Quotes for proper field Execution of customer work.
· Direct workload, manpower and material planning to ensure the Service objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
· Manage all Department budgets and control expenses effectively.
· Coordinate owner project activities with the project management team to ensure maximum.
collaboration and teamwork.
Foster a one team approach across the enterprise.
· Network in local markets and oversee team networking events and opportunities.
· Plan and oversee all hiring and supervising direct reports.
Coach, develop and train all assigned personnel.
Consult with Human Resources as appropriate.
· Strategize, plan, and coordinate as needed with Sr.
Leadership in the preparation of proposals.
· Establish and maintain an effective and professional working relationship with owners, Sub-contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers consistent with company values.
· Challenge the team to continuously improve and to find opportunities to add value within the capabilities of the firm.
· Ensure all aspects of operations are executed per company policy.
Cost, Quality, Safety, Schedule, OSHA and client specifications.
· Keep up to date with all RMC Policy and Procedures, industry standards and government regulations.
Required Knowledge, skills, and abilities
· Must desire to continually learn new methods; adopt, accept, and apply new technology from internal or external resources and strive to identify more efficient ways to perform existing processes.
· Challenge the “status quo” and motivate other team members, openly considering ideas and suggestions of others and incorporating constructive suggestions into practice.
· Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.

Education and Experience
· High School Diploma Required.
· OSHA 30 Required
· Valid Drivers’ License
· 10 plus years of experience managing a department for multiple jobs providing complete commercial HVAC installation and maintenance.
Physical requirements
· Required to stand, walk, and sit.
· Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
· Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
· Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
· Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
