General Assembler

Sealed Air Corporation seeking a mechanically inclined General Assembler to join our equipment production team in Ayer, Massachusetts.

This position is responsible for assembling mechanical components and equipment according to blueprints, work instructions, and specifications.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on skills, ability to use hand and power tools, and a basic understanding of mechanical systems, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities  Assemble mechanical parts and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools  Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and follow work instructions  Install components such as brackets, fasteners, bearings, and hardware  Perform basic measurements using tape measures, calipers, and gauges  Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy and quality  Maintain a clean and organized work area  Follow all safety procedures and company policies  Assist senior assemblers as needed  Report defects, material shortages, or equipment issues to supervisor  Other duties as assigned
