Role Overview
The role is for an accountant with approximately two years of UAE experience, typically serving as a general or junior accountant.
The work covers daily bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and VAT filings.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare and file VAT returns through the Federal Tax Authority.
- Calculate import and export VAT on free-zone and mainland shipments.
- Process supplier invoices, verify LPOs, issue customer invoices, monitor aging reports, and coordinate follow-ups.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and supplier statement verifications.
- Process monthly payroll through the Wages Protection System.
- Assist senior accountants with balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and adjusting journal entries.
- Generate customized financial reports using accounting software for management decision-making.
Key Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent ACCA, CA, or CPA qualification.
- Have two to three years of UAE corporate accounting experience.
- Have a strong working understanding of UAE Corporate Tax and UAE Labour Law.
- Have advanced MS Excel knowledge, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Have experience with localized ERP or accounting software such as Tally Prime, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or SAP.
- Be fluent in spoken and written English.
- Arabic or Hindi language skills are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is SAR 3,000 to SAR 3,500 per month.
