Role Overview

Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

• Research and analyze accounting data and prepare reports for management.
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries.
• Record and document financial transactions.
• Analyze accounting options and recommend financial actions.
• Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions.
• Maintain accounting controls and recommend policies and procedures.
• Coordinate accounting clerical staff and answer procedure questions.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies.
• Complete database backups and maintain financial information security.
• Verify payment documentation and request disbursements.
