Position Summary

General Accountant position in Marriott International's Finance and Accounting category.

Responsibilities

  • Check figures, postings, and documents for accurate entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding.
  • Maintain files, records, cash, and cash equivalents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Record, store, access, and analyze computerized financial information.
  • Maintain electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
  • Classify, code, and summarize financial data using journals, ledgers, and computers.
  • Prepare and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, and payroll reports.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
  • Protect confidential information, company assets, and the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Address service needs, communicate professionally, and support positive working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience is required.
  • No license or certification is listed.

Workplace and Schedule

  • The role is not remote and is based at the Doha, Qatar work location.
  • The schedule is full time.
