About This Role
The GCP Platform Engineer will join the Data and Analytics team in Pune.
The role focuses on building, operating, automating, and improving Google Cloud Platform services for applications, analytics, automation, and data solutions.
The position emphasizes reliability, security, observability, scalability, cost efficiency, and onboarding of new services.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain GCP platform services and support onboarding of applications, automation workloads, data pipelines, and internal services.
- Provision infrastructure with Terraform and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated deployments.
- Manage GCP services, Kubernetes workloads, Docker containers, security guardrails, and platform operations.
- Troubleshoot cloud issues, maintain reusable modules and documentation, and support patching, upgrades, remediation, incidents, and access reviews.
- Monitor platform performance and reliability and contribute to Agile planning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Degree or higher qualification in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
- At least five years of professional experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
- Strong GCP, Terraform or Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, networking, scripting, and cloud troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with operational documentation, maintenance activities, governance processes, and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Airflow or Cloud Composer, BigQuery operations, Dataflow, Spark, Site Reliability Engineering, production support, incident response, and automation experience is advantageous.
