HSBC is seeking an experienced professional for the role of Associate Director, Data and Analytics.
The role leads technical data delivery for business use cases and guides engineering teams through complex work.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical teams to deliver business use cases.
- Coordinate, plan, and execute business delivery.
- Track, raise, and communicate progress and risks with appropriate planning.
- Guide engineers and teams through complexity while raising engineering standards through daily actions.
- Own delivery and operations end to end using continuous delivery, DevOps practices, and operational metrics such as DORA.
- Apply engineering practices across platform, infrastructure, and function-as-a-service environments.
- Identify practical applications for AI, including intelligent automation, improved observability, and developer productivity.
Requirements
- Experienced professional capable of leading technical teams and delivering business use cases.
- Experience with Python, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Hadoop, NiFi or Kafka, RDBMS, and Cloud SQL.
- Good knowledge of the banking data domain and end-to-end Agile delivery.
- Understanding of GCP Console, BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Git, Jenkins, Airflow, Pub/Sub or Kafka, and CI/CD.
