GCCS-J / IOSv1 / TCS Junior System Administrator

Tasks: Demonstrate knowledge at the MEF/MEB level on the operational employment and TTP associated with the following information systems supporting MAGTF C2; GCCS-J Family of systems, JTCW, TCS, Intelligence Operations Server (IOS), versions 1, C2PC. Provide planning, engineering, installation, operation, maintenance, database development, system administration and instructional expertise to support CIS training, systems integration and operations in a combat operations center, logistics operation center and tactical air command center environment to support MSTP sponsored and supported events. Install, operate and maintain UNIX and Windows 2000/2003/XP/7 environments associated with the GCCS-J family of systems, IOSv1, TCS. Ensure integration of Tactical Data Link (TDL) and Multi-TDL Network into the COP and C2 system architecture. Ensure integration of Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Position Location Information into COP and C2 System architecture Integrate CPOF into GCCS-J family of systems and overall C2 system architecture in order to provide COP. Establish COP Synchronization Tool (CST) channels and other associated connections between C2 systems. Integrate C2 systems to provide combined COP. Provide Enemy and Friendly COP management to support MSTP Higher and Adjacent Headquarters’ role players supporting MEF/MEB level exercise Integrate and ensure interoperability of C2 systems within the C4ISR network architecture by fusing select C2 capabilities into a comprehensive, interoperable system by exchanging imagery, intelligence, status of forces, and planning information Integrate and ensure interoperability of C2 systems within Joint Virtual, Live and Constructive (JLVC) environment associated modeling and simulation systems: MTWS, WARSIM, AWSIM, JSAF, DVTE. Designs, installs, configures, and maintains XMPP Chat servers and client application software in support MSTP day-to-day operations and during deployed exercises and events. Participate in CIS planning conferences and conduct detailed systems planning to support events. Support 24 hour operations and maintenance of systems listed within this paragraph during MSTP events at two concurrent operational site locations. OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE Minimum three years in military operational planning and execution. Minimum three years of experience with the installation, operation, and maintenance of UNIX, Windows XP/7, IOS v1/TCS, IOW, JCTW and GCCS. Direct participation in real world operations desired. MILITARY EDUCATION Formal DoD training in GCCS System Administration and IOS/IOW System Administration. Formal training in military instructor/curriculum developer desired. CIVILIAN EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalent. UNIX System Administrator- Level 2 and MCP desired.
