Responsibilities

  • Recruit, register, schedule, and encourage guests to participate in recreation activities.
  • Provide information about recreation facilities and activities and enforce safety rules.
  • Observe activities, respond to emergencies, and alert management when guests cannot safely participate.
  • Clean and maintain recreation equipment and supplies.
  • Process payments for rentals, activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.
  • Welcome guests, address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate professionally.
  • Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
  • Report accidents and unsafe conditions and complete required safety training.
  • Perform physical work involving extended standing or walking, lifting, bending, stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
  • CPR certification and First Aid certification are required.
  • Recreation equipment qualification or training is required.
  • Any certification or training required by local and state agencies is required.
