Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field • 15+ years building production (or near-production) software, data, or backend systems • Strong Python (debugging, testing, maintainable code) • Solid fundamentals in LLMs/transformers; clear understanding of capabilities and limitations • Hands-on experience with at least one LLM agentic framework/library • Experience integrating tools/APIs/data services into software or ML systems • Experience building multi-step workflows (state machines/orchestration logic) • Prompt engineering experience (templates, instruction design to shape behavior) • Familiar with production monitoring, logging, and operational support • Strong independent problem-solving within scope; effective cross-functional collaborator • Clear communicator to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills • Production/enterprise experience building or deploying agentic systems • Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and grounding strategies for LLMs • Experience with async execution (event-driven workflows, async coordination patterns) • Experience implementing agent memory, context management, and multi-turn conversation patterns • Familiarity with responsible AI, model governance, and human-in-the-loop review patterns • Experience with observability and tracing for agent behavior/reasoning • Experience in risk, controls, compliance, or other highly governed environments
