About this position
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Functional Owner - Algorithm Systems Engineer to identify production algorithm requirements and define interface and signals in our Active Safety department in our Troy, MI location.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Defines and releases Object tracking Specification document
- Identify Object tracking, Scene perception, Sensor monitoring or sensor plausibility algorithm requirements together with customer requirements.
- Defines all required interfaces and signals required for the function to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborates with project team and with the various development areas (Software, and System Testing) in development of the functions.
- Leads Functional development and ensures functional performance meets customer requirements.
- Uses KPI matrices to measure and improve functional performance
- Ensures test engineering performs required system validation and relevant system test requirements and scenarios meet customer requirements
- Internal and external interface to the customer for system and function performance
- Work innovatively and creatively within the group with a particular focus on protecting innovation
- Decomposes customer functional requirements and defines compliance matrix in accordance to system capabilities and strategies.
- Defines and releases Object tracking document
- Having knowledge of the following algorithms: multi-sensor multi-target tracking, multi-sensor fusion, and situation assessment.
