The Central Employee Services Division (CESD) within the Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks an experienced Functional Analyst II who is ready to dive into the high-volume work of the Benefits unit . The successful candidate will join the team responsible for managing the medical, vision, and dental plans, life and disability insurances, reimbursement accounts, leave programs, and retirement planning for all King County employees. Reporting to the Benefits Supervisor, the Functional Analyst II will serve as a primary benefits program contact and provide exemplary customer service to employees, dependents, King County HR partners, and benefit providers. This role will be responsible for responding to a wide variety of benefits related inquires and providing support to employees experiencing technical challenges; the person in this role must bring a sense of calm and patience to the work as they walk employees through the benefits enrollment process and in accessing plan related information. They will use their love of data, strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and creative problem-solving skills to ensure King County employees receive the benefits they are entitled to in an accurate and timely manner.
