Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS)
- Respond to, investigate, prioritize, and resolve integrated administrative, technical, or operating problems within EDRMS
- Act as liaison with stakeholders for system issues requiring IT involvement
- Support creation and maintenance of compliance accuracy reports, Records Classification Dictionary, and Records Retention Schedule
- Provide ongoing support and training to end users, including management staff
- Develop training material for end users and ensure system documentation is complete
- Maximize integration between end user groups by analyzing business processes and recommending improvements
- Participate in future system development by developing business cases, defining requirements, and assisting with testing and implementation
- Provide specialized support during onboarding of new business units into EDRMS
- Evaluate procedures and make recommendations to ensure security access follows internal control guidelines
- Manage configuration changes and security access
- Lead report development based on end user needs
Requirements
- Degree in Library Information Management, Information Technology, or related field plus 3 years directly related experience; OR Diploma plus 5 years; OR technical courses plus 7 years
- Preferably in a municipal/government setting
- Must obtain and maintain police security clearance including polygraph examination

Position Overview
- Surrey Police Service has an exciting opportunity for a Functional Analyst 2 Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) to join our Corporate Services Bureau.
- The Functional Analyst 2 (EDRMS) will serve on a team of specialists supporting EDRMS functionality, developing solutions to operational issues.
- The incumbent will be responsible for system optimization, assisting EDRMS system upgrades, stakeholder management, and building training materials.
Responsibilities
- Leverage knowledge of EDRMS to help configure and maintain the system, participating in ongoing business operations.
- Complete work assignments as delegated, ensuring alignment with configurations that support accurate records retention, disposition processes, and security/access management.
- Respond to, investigate, prioritize, and resolve integrated administrative, technical, or operating problems within EDRMS.
- Act as liaison with stakeholders for system issues requiring IT involvement and manage resolution of all issues.
- Support EDMU Team in creating and maintaining compliance accuracy reports, Records Classification Dictionary, and Records Retention Schedule.
- Provide ongoing support and training to end users, including management staff, through training programs and one on one consultation.
- Develop training material for end users and ensure system documentation is appropriate and complete.
- Have frequent contact with application system vendors, external user groups, and consultants to exchange information and resolve problems.
- Maximize integration between end user groups by analyzing business processes and recommending improvements.
- Assume key role in future system development by participating in business cases, needs identification, defining requirements, and testing and implementation.
- Provide specialized support during onboarding of new business units into EDRMS.
- Evaluate procedures and make recommendations to ensure security access follows internal control guidelines.
Qualifications
- A degree in an acceptable related discipline (Library Information Management, Information Technology, or related field) plus 3 years directly related experience (preferably municipal/government).
- OR Diploma in related discipline plus 5 years directly related experience (preferably municipal/government).
- OR Technical courses in the field plus 7 years directly related and relevant experience (preferably municipal setting).
- All applicants must obtain and maintain required police security clearance throughout employment, including mandatory polygraph examination.
