Full-Time Retail Cashier Associate

Position Summary

Training Requirements

• Complete on-the-job training in cash handling and point-of-sale register operation
• Attend park-wide orientation at the earliest scheduled opportunity

Physical and Safety Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods, including shifts of up to 12 hours
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds
• Follow all park safety, health, and first-aid guidelines
• Responsible for personal health and safety
• Follow the park-wide speed limit of 20 mph and 2 mph through the front gate
• Perform cleaning and maintenance duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing, garbage collection, etc.

General Responsibilities

• Provide every guest with pleasant, courteous, and efficient service
• Maintain a Mystery Shop score of 8 or higher
• Follow all park policies, procedures, and operational standards
• Demonstrate pride in the park and support its mission and core values
• Practice honesty, integrity, and ethical business conduct
• Attend all required park functions, events, meetings, classes, and workshops
• Work professionally and cooperatively with other departments

Essential Duties

• Perform all cashier responsibilities as needed
• Accurately operate the point-of-sale system, inventory system, Square, and other sales systems as directed
• Complete shift and daily register checkout reports accurately
• Handle cash and other forms of payment in accordance with company cash handling procedures
• Support the Retail Manager, Assistant Managers, Inventory Specialist, and fellow associates
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of all retail areas, including: Sales floors Register areas Storage spaces Restrooms Parking lots

• Work toward and support daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
• Ensure retail sales associates have the tools, supplies, and information necessary to perform their duties

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager

Schedule Expectations

• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shift lengths
• All absences must be approved personally by the Retail Manager using the required request form
• Voicemail is not an approved method for reporting an absence or requesting paid time off
• Vacation requests must be submitted in advance and approved by the Retail Manager
