As a Full-Stack Engineer in our Survey & Design team, you'll help build the products that support some of the most important steps in Aira's customer acquisition journey. The team is responsible for the tools used to capture and manage information about our customers' homes, supporting everything from home surveys and technical assessments to installation design. These products help ensure that the right information is available throughout the process, enabling tailored and efficient clean energy solutions. You'll join a small, autonomous product team and work closely with product managers, designers and engineers to solve real-world challenges and build scalable solutions that support Aira's continued growth across Europe. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the products and services that power these workflows. You'll work across the stack to build scalable solutions and great user experiences.
In this role, you will
Design and build applications and services that support users across multiple European markets
Develop scalable APIs and integrations with third-party systems
Process and manage data collected throughout the Survey & Design journey
Transform complex technical and geometric data into solutions that support our products and workflows
Contribute to architectural decisions and the long-term evolution of the platform
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers and end users to improve workflows, user experiences and product capabilities
Explore new technologies and approaches that help solve real business problems

What you'll bring to the team
Around 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
Experience building modern software applications across different parts of the stack
Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
Experience designing and building APIs
A solid understanding of databases, software architecture and distributed systems
Experience working with microservices
The ability to turn ideas into clean, testable and scalable software
A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership
Strong collaboration and communication skills
We believe you'll thrive in this role if you're curious, analytical and enjoy understanding the real-world challenges behind the software you build. You don't need a background in engineering, but an interest in technical domains and complex problem-solving will help you succeed.
