Yelp's Search Engine Results Page Platform team owns full-stack infrastructure for high-traffic Search pages across web and mobile.
The role spans server-side Python data hydration and view models through client-side TypeScript and React component rendering.
The position is a platform engineering role focused on new capabilities, performance, developer ergonomics, reliability, and code quality.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve the full-stack rendering pipeline for Yelp's web and mobile Search pages.
- Design and maintain component registration and rendering frameworks for search results and non-result features.
- Build Python server-side view models and data hydration layers that serve props to React components.
- Develop GraphQL APIs and resolver-based architecture for client-side data fetching.
- Guide feature teams through component development patterns across UX, server factories, resolvers, and data loading.
- Improve developer ergonomics, reliability, and web performance across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Drive architecture for Search page layouts, mobile feature composition, rendering, and deployment.
