About Solu
Solu is an AI-powered women’s wellness app for the MENA market.
The product provides nutrition, movement, and lifestyle guidance linked to users’ hormonal cycles.
The app is live on the App Store and Google Play.
Technology Stack
- Backend uses NestJS 11, Apollo GraphQL, Prisma 7, PostgreSQL, Redis, CASL-based permissions, and an Nx monorepo.
- Mobile uses React Native, Expo SDK 54, Expo Router, gluestack-ui, NativeWind, TanStack Query and Form, XState, Clerk, EAS Build and Update, and Sentry.
What You’ll Do
- Finish wiring mobile screens to the live API for feeds, groups, hangouts, and notifications.
- Complete token refresh authentication, push notifications, and the notification dispatch pipeline.
- Set up CI/CD, database migrations, and staging and production deployments.
- Ship to TestFlight and the Play Store and iterate directly with the founders.
- Add tests where they matter and keep the architecture clean as the product scales.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building production applications in TypeScript.
- Strong NestJS or similar Node framework and GraphQL experience.
- Real-world React Native and Expo experience with apps shipped to the App Store or Play Store.
- Comfort with Prisma or SQL, Redis, Docker, and cloud deployment.
- Ability to work independently and make pragmatic product decisions.
Nice to Have
- CASL or other ability-based authorization experience.
- Experience with XState, the TanStack ecosystem, or NativeWind/Tailwind.
- Experience with Clerk, Sentry, EAS Update, or GraphQL Codegen.
- Experience with Stripe or KYC integrations.
Compensation
- Compensation is equity only at this stage.
- Salary is stated to begin once Seed funding closes in 2027.
