- Collaborate with team members to design and develop robust, scalable software solutions.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
- Write code for business and/or data layers.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
- Integrate AI/LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini) into product features such as chatbots, content generation, or smart recommendations.
- Design and optimize prompts for AI features to ensure accurate, reliable outputs.
- Build and maintain data pipelines that feed structured data into AI models or retrieve AI-generated outputs back into the app.
- Evaluate and monitor AI feature performance (cost, latency, accuracy) and iterate accordingly.
- Ensure cross-platform optimization for mobile phones.
- Ensure responsiveness of applications.
- Design and develop APIs.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
- Create and maintain software documentation.
- Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our sites.
- Stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends — especially AI/LLM tooling — and recommend where AI can improve existing workflows or features.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Peer code review experience.
- Deep familiarity with JIRA, AWS deployment, and the Git workflow.
- Proficient in Laravel and Vue.js.
- Expertise in WordPress & WooCommerce.
- Experienced in WordPress plugin development.
- Experienced in server management.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, JavaScript.
- Experience integrating third-party AI/LLM APIs into production applications.
- Understanding of prompt engineering fundamentals.
- Bonus if you stay up to date with industry best practices.
- Bonus if you have experience with peer-to-peer code review practices.
- Bonus if you have website testing and QA experience.
- Bonus if you're familiar with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate) or embeddings — especially relevant for search/recommendation features.
