Role Overview
Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair for water and fuel systems.
Support automated fuel-handling, tank-gauging, alarm, leak-detection, hydrant, and overfill-protection systems.
Work on systems installed at retail and bulk fuel distribution locations serving military ground vehicles.
Fuel Systems Maintenance
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for AFHE, ATG, IAS, ELD, OPE, HFAM, and AFSS systems.
- Maintain associated modems, radios, and other communication devices.
- Provide annual pipeline leak-detection certification and periodic testing and technical support.
- Provide Leak Manager support through Fuels Manager Defense and Varec Leak Manager systems.
- Support hydrant-fueling automation using PLCs, operator interfaces, transmitters, switches, solenoids, valves, and related software.
Technical Qualifications
- At least three years of experience in fuels systems and a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Military or technical training in fuel or water systems.
- Cross-Connection Control training is required.
- Qualification or certification on at least one applicable fuel-system platform is required.
