Position Overview
The contractor performs inspection, maintenance, and repair for water and fuel systems, including Cross-Connection Control.
The role supports automated fuel handling, tank gauging, leak detection, alarm, overfill protection, fuel service station, and hydrant fueling systems.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for AFHE, ATG, IAS, ELD, OPE, HFAM, AFSS, and associated modem and radio devices.
- Provide leak detection certification, testing, technical support, and Leak Manager support through FMD and Varec systems.
- Diagnose, repair, replace, and adjust hydrant fueling system automation components and oversee related professionals.
- Work in compliance with applicable operational, safety, quality, environmental, and customer-contract requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- At least three years of fuels experience and high qualification in fuels are required.
- Applicable manufacturer qualifications or certifications are required for ATG, ELD, IAS, OPE, HFAM, or AFSS equipment when available.
- HFAM experience must include PLCs, operator interfaces, transmitters, flow switches, solenoids, motor operators, control valves, and related software.
- The technician must understand and translate DoD hydrant system specifications verbally and in writing.
