FrontEnd software Engineer

Bristol, UK Working model: Hybrid – 2 days on ‑ site per week (mandatory)

We are seeking Senior Frontend Software Engineers to work within cross ‑ functional feature teams delivering front ‑ end led capabilities for the Data Marketplace .

The role focuses on building accessible, high ‑ quality, and well ‑ tested user interfaces on a cloud ‑ native platform running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .

Engineers are expected to take strong technical ownership of frontend delivery, contribute to technical direction, and support other engineers within the team.







Skillsets required:

Primary focus on experienced Frontend Software Engineers, with strong React expertise . Proven experience building accessible, testable, scalable user interfaces. Strong test-first mindset (TDD) and confidence writing automated tests. Hands-on experience with: * React, JavaScript/TypeScript * JestJS and modern frontend testing practices * Accessibility standards (WCAG) and tooling (axe-core) Desirable (bonus) skills: * Backend development with Java / Quarkus * Working with REST APIs and PostgreSQL * DevOps exposure across CI/CD pipelines, containers and Kubernetes Experience operating at Senior level, including: * Technical ownership of solutions * Coaching/mentoring other engineers * Contributing to architectural and technical direction
