Frontend Developer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain AEM frontend components, templates, and editable regions.
• Build responsive, accessible, and performant UI components using React and modern JavaScript.
• Collaborate with the Development Lead on architecture decisions and component design.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs and AEM content services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality and team knowledge sharing.
• Translate wireframes and specifications into functional interfaces with Business Analyst and Design teams.
• Debug cross-browser, cross-device, and performance issues.
• Write unit and integration tests and improve the component library and design system.
• Keep up to date with AEM platform changes and frontend best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Four to six years of frontend development experience.
• Solid hands-on experience with AEM component development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript ES6+ and React, including hooks, context, and state management.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and responsive design principles.
• Familiarity with AEM Sling Models, HTL/Sightly, and the AEM authoring experience.
• Comfort with RESTful APIs and JSON data structures.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and modern build tools such as Webpack, Vite, or similar.
• Understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services is preferred.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and headless or hybrid AEM architectures is preferred.
• Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress is preferred.
• Knowledge of Lighthouse and Core Web Vitals optimization is preferred.
