Job summary
Manage all front office functions and staff, including guest services, front desk, bell staff, switchboard operations, and applicable retail operations.
Direct front office operations to improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize department financial performance.
Education and experience
- High school diploma or GED plus four years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related professional area.
- Alternatively, a two-year degree in hospitality, hotel and restaurant management, business administration, or a related major plus two years of relevant experience.
Team leadership
- Lead, influence, supervise, and manage front office employees.
- Build trust, respect, cooperation, and open communication among team members.
- Set performance expectations, monitor progress, recognize contributions, and coach employees.
Front office operations
- Manage daily operations, guest arrival and departure procedures, service quality, staffing, and front office goals.
- Conduct department meetings and maintain focus on operational and financial priorities.
