Role Overview
Supervise the packaging line and execute the production plan through effective machine operation, manpower utilization, product quality, and loss reduction.
Train and support operators and packers to run packaging machines efficiently.
Production and Team Management
- Prepare each shift's production plan and ensure schedule attainment.
- Supervise operators and verify that assigned work is performed correctly.
- Conduct annual initial or refresher training for packers and operators.
- Manage staffing ratios, break times, cleaning during flavor changes, and timekeeping.
- Evaluate the performance of subordinate employees.
- Attend required meetings and training sessions.
Performance and Quality
- Drive line improvement and cost savings within the assigned team and area.
- Achieve departmental targets for line efficiency, material efficiency, and grams giveaway.
- Manage Colos and SAP programs and maintain full utilization.
- Ensure quality packets and cases are produced consistently.
- Maintain packaging machinery by checking required Bag Maker and Ishida maintenance checklists.
- Maintain area cleanliness in accordance with GMP requirements.
