About the Role
Matillion is developing Maia, an AI Data Automation platform intended to make data AI-ready.
The Front End Engineer will build interfaces for Maia and Maia Teams using React and an agentic-first engineering approach.
The role includes ownership of high-visibility features and validation of AI-generated code.
Workplace
- This is a hybrid role based in Manchester, UK, requiring at least two days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Build production React and TypeScript components that are clean, readable, and maintainable.
- Use generative AI tools to handle repetitive work while focusing on architecture and complex logic.
- Review, refactor, and harden AI-suggested code against security and performance standards.
- Break epics into shippable increments and maintain delivery through CI/CD.
- Shape frontend architecture, component patterns, state management, and durable integrations with the squad.
What We Are Looking For
- Professional experience shipping production React applications with testable, well-documented code.
