Position Overview

Front Desk Manager role supporting front office functions, staff supervision, guest service, operational performance, and departmental financial objectives.

The front office scope includes Bell/Door Staff, Switchboard, Guest Services, and Front Desk operations.

Schedule and Workplace

  • The position is full time.
  • The role is not remote and is based at the Marriott location in Dubai Marina, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Education and Experience

  • One qualification pathway is a high school diploma or GED plus two years of guest services, front desk, or related professional experience.
  • An alternative pathway is a two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with no work experience required.

Front Office Operations

  • Manage day-to-day front office operations and ensure service quality, standards, customer expectations, staffing levels, and financial objectives are met.
  • Develop work goals and plans, handle complaints and disputes, and supervise front desk staffing and operations.
  • Supervise front office areas in the absence of the Front Office or Assistant Front Office Manager.

Team Leadership and Service

  • Lead, influence, coach, and encourage employees while promoting trust, respect, cooperation, and appropriate workplace behaviors.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and guidance to improve service delivery and employee performance.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and promote satisfaction, retention, and continuous improvement.

Policies and Human Resources

  • Implement customer recognition and service programs and monitor compliance with credit policies and procedures.
  • Supervise room revenue selling procedures, front desk shifts, and compliance with property policies and operating procedures.
  • Support employee hiring, orientation, training, satisfaction feedback, progressive discipline, and employee relations activities.

Additional Duties

  • Provide timely information to supervisors, peers, executives, coworkers, and subordinates through telephone, written communication, email, or in person.
  • Analyze information, evaluate results, solve problems, participate in departmental meetings, and perform Front Desk duties as needed.
